FAQ

Why should I clean my bins?

Besides the obvious reasons such as the terrible smell, the insects like flies, maggots, roaches, and the rodents they attract; dirty trash bins carry harmful bacteria and viruses that pose a threat to you and your family. Your trash bins are a breeding ground for dangerous bacteria such as Listeria, Salmonella, and E-Coli. There are over 400 million different kinds of bacteria per square inch breeding on your trash can. They can survive on dry surfaces for months and thrive on plastic, glass, and metal. Hosing them off with a garden hose will not cut it. We kill 99.9% by using 200-degree water and biodegradable cleaners to ensure that your bins have been sanitized, deodorized, and disinfected.

How does it work?

Bin Beast will come to your residence on your regular trash collection day, or the day immediately following. Right at your curbside, our state-of-the-art truck will disinfect, sanitize, and deodorize your trash bins. Our method begins with a powerful 200-degree steam cleaning at over 2000 psi, ensuring the most thorough sanitization. This cutting-edge approach not only removes visible dirt but penetrates deep into crevices, eradicating stubborn bacteria and fungi that often elude traditional cleaning methods. Then a small piece of tape with the cleaning date will be placed on the inside of the lid so you know we were there.

How often should I have my bins cleaned?

Let’s keep in mind that this is trash we are talking about. Trash bins will get dirty with every use, and will start to get smelly regardless of our efforts to contain our waste. We recommend cleaning your bins on a monthly basis. This maintenance schedule will keep your bins visually clean, and give you the peace of mind of knowing you're protecting your family from potential bacterial dangers.

What if I'm away during my scheduled cleaning?

This is not a problem at all. Simply give us a call or shoot us an email at least 24 hours before your cleaning, and we will try to reschedule your cleaning for the next trash day. Unfortunately, if you do not contact us at least 24 hours before your scheduled cleaning, we will show up to clean your cans and your account will not be credited. We also offer a weekly Can to Curb service for $5 a week of customers with cleaning services or a 1 time can to curb service for $10.
